Kelly Commerford, the marketing director for the Hyatt, notes, “When the Padres win by a walk-off homer, or a Padre hits a grand slam, every ticket holder at the game gets a 50 percent discount on drinks, meals, rooms, or a wedding, too - up to $5,000 of a $10,000 bill.” In terms of meals, the Hyatt has several eateries on site where the discount can be taken such as Ann Marie’s Coffee Shop, Redfield’s Deli, Sally’s Seafood on the Waterfront, or the Top of the Hyatt. Manchester Grand Hyatt also has a full-service salon where tickets can be traded in for discounts on a variety of services.
Discounts for All Padres Games
The Manchester Hyatt has installed internal scoreboards in the hotel so staff will know when to expect ticket holders and what discount to give them. Besides the 50 percent off for grand slams and walk-offs, any ticket stub from a San Diego home win at PETCO Park brings a 30 percent discount, and ticket holders from any Padres home game, even a loss with no homers, can claim a 10 percent discount. When it gets right down to it, any visitor to San Diego who combines taking in a Padres game with a stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt ends up a winner.
